Acupuncture
Recommended by the World Health Organisation and by NICE for a variety of conditions including headaches and migraines.
Research has also shown it to be effective for Back Pain, Neck Pain and other unspecified pain as well as over 100 other conditions
Treatment consists of the insertion of very fine needles (some thinner than hair)just beneath the skin or into muscles. It is a painless experience which often has the added bonus of deep relaxation.

Facial Enhancement Acupuncture
FEA is a natural alternative to more invasive anti-ageing treatments. It is aimed at reducing lines and sagging skin, which naturally appear as part of the ageing process, but also due to stress, life style and diet.
Fine needles are inserted into specific problem areas such as scars, wrinkles and sagging or tired looking muscles and skin to improve micro-circulation of blood and lymph and collagen production leading to a more radiant complexion.

Advanced Clinical Massage
Clinical Massage can be both energizing and relaxing. It is an excellent tool for pain relief -releasing tension and reviving tired, overworked muscles and connective tissue. It can assist in a variety of complaints including menstrual problems, digestive disorders, and mental/emotional imbalances, either in conjunction with acupuncture or on its own using hands, fingers, knuckles, forearms and elbows instead of needles.

Esalen Massage
Esalen Massage is a presence-based transformative experience, integrating bodywork techniques with awareness- and breathwork.

Cancellation Policy. If you cancel at short notice (less than 24 hours) I reserve the right to charge £25 per missed appointment. If cancellation takes place between 48- 24 hours I will charge £15.
Privacy and Data Protection
A certain amount of personal data is collected through your initial consultation form for acupuncture treatment. After receiving your online consultation form I will only print and save paper copies only , which will be stored in a secure filing cabinet. Digital copies will be destroyed (deleted).
This is for the purpose of meeting insurance criteria as well as for your health and safety during treatment. Contact details are used to contact you or your next of kin in the case of an emergency.

Consent and the storing of data: By giving your permission on the acupuncture consultation form you agree to that data being held by Christiane Thomas online or on paper. This is only for the purpose of booking and receiving acupuncture treatment and sending details of appointments. Emergency Contact information is collected solely for use in an emergency, should I need to contact your next of kin or give this information to the emergency services. This is the only information that would be shared with a third party, and only in the context of an emergency.

Right to be forgotten: email me to let me know if you would like me to remove all data I hold about you. I will permanently delete all data I hold about you as soon as my insurance policies allow me to do so.

Right to object: I do not use your data for any other reason than to deliver acupuncture treatments and occasionally send you other information about life style advise relating to your acupuncture treatment. If you want to opt out of being sent this information please do let me know.
